San Manuel Bingo & Casino - Ph 2 Parking Garage
Highland, CA ($66M)
Once the new casino was completed San Manuel immediately needed larger parking facilities to accommodate the surge of visitors.
The garage expansion added a 7-level, 900,000 sf parking structure with 2300 parking spaces and a 300 foot CalTrans concrete box girder
bridge used for exiting. Constructed of post tension beam and slab, the cast-in-place (CIP) moment frame garage was built adjacent to
the San Andreas fault-line and included relocating the Phase 1 electrical substation, constructing an elevated exit ramp, and retrofitting
the Phase 1 parking structure for enhanced traffic circulation and security/surveillance capabilities with the Phase 2 garage.
BEK services included the management of preconstruction design, coordination with permitting agencies, bid packaging and solicitation,
bidding review and recommendation for contract, scheduling, construction oversight, and coordination with client operations to mitigate
disruptions and impacts.
