BRIAN E. KASEN Principal & Owner
My 38 years of professional experience were spent with large construction and engineering companies, including 16 years with the King County Department of
Natural Resources. I have managed construction projects valued from over $570 million to $76 million. Key Pacific Northwest projects include West Point
Secondary Wastewater Treatment Facility, Alki Combined Sewer Overflow, Denny Way CSO, and the and the Downtown Seattle Transit Project.
After personally working for King County Metro on large Northwest public works and transportation projects, I received an opportunity to provide PM/CM
leadership on two ailing turn-key projects in California in the private sector, ultimately turning them around and completing them on time and budget while
working for the URS Corporation. As a result of my success and referrals, I continued working in the private sector and completed several projects associated
with schedule and revenue driven, turn-key gaming and commercial business enterprises. Projects ranged in size and complexity from $65K to $470M which
included large commercial buildings (up to 1M square feet), infrastructure, tenant improvement, communication, security and power projects.
"Ultimately, my desire was to return to the Pacific Northwest to begin the process of re-establishing my firm in my home state of
Washington and continue building a company that is responsive to commercial development throughout the Northwest."
My career encompasses both program and construction management services on $1.9B of public and private projects. My expertise and management services
include program director, program / project and construction management, pre-construction services, procurement, bidding support, construction
administration, project / cost / document controls and reporting, quality control / inspection, scheduling, change and risk management, safety,
traffic management / public access, coordination with property owners and coordination with utility franchises, as well as development of scope documents,
claims evaluation & negotiation, and project closeout and operations logistics services.
I excel in managing large complex projects, and in bringing projects back on track to meet their schedule and budget. My clients rely on his technical
knowledge and thoughtful recommendations when making project-related decisions. Colleagues appreciate organizational skill, dedication to process, and the
steady, unflappable attitude I bring to each project.
Because of my experience implementing and managing large programs and projects I am acutely aware of the financial and schedule challenges facing
today’s expanding businesses. What I offer is proven leadership, experienced staff, structured organization, established PM / CM systems and procedures
for communication / cost / schedule and document controls for immediate project performance. I can provide overall program (cradle-to-grave) services or
CM oversight for specific projects.
